Amenities
Positive: Location and quiet and peaceful atmosphere were great. I liked the fact that the unit was very close to the entrance of Innisbrook, rather than having to drive through the winding roads to get to some of the condo units further inside the property.
Negative: Fixtures in bathroom are a bit oddly placed. The soap holder in the shower is mounted at head-level right over the faucet knobs. So when you bend over to turn on/off water, you easily hit your head on the mounted soap holder. This happened to me at least 3 times. Also, towel holder next to the bathroom sink is mounted immediately to the left of the sink on the wall, and sticks out quite a few inches. I hit my left elbow on that at least twice as well.
Overall, I would recommend this unit and would happily book it again in the future.
Positive: The resort is older in design, but very well maintained. The grounds are lovely. The unit itself, is well appointed and very clean. The appliances were in great condition and made it appealing to “cook in” rather than have to go out for all meals. It was a perfect option for our needs/stay. The host, David, was very responsive.
Negative: The unit had a musty odor upon entering and we noticed that it had a couple of air freshener bead jars tucked away -one in the main living area and one in the bedroom closet. So, this was something that the host is aware of. After living in Florida for many years, we know that the humidity can play a part in this. But, we didn’t notice the odor in the unit that my sister was renting during the same timeframe. The carpet in the unit had a few noticeable stains and could be the culprit for holding onto the humidity and odor. Also, it is important to note that because this is a “private” rental, you do not get access to to any of the pools. There is a pool in front of the building that you aren’t able to use, and the large “Loch Ness” pool (with splash area for little ones and water slides) is only available for use by resort guests. So, if this is important to you, you may want to consider booking through Innisbrook resort. For our purposes, it wasn’t an issue. If we had been staying longer than the weekend, I would have liked the kitchen to have been stocked with a few more glases/utensils/pots/pans.
